Make a syrup with sugar and a little water.

When it reaches the thread stage (lift a spoon and it forms a thread that stays soft but doesn't snap, like puxa-puxa), remove from heat and let cool.

Separately, whisk the beaten egg yolks into a little of the cooled syrup.

Beat a little and add the rest of the syrup. Place over low heat, stirring until the bottom of the pot shows.

Add the coconut milk and cook to the desired consistency.
